A Perfect Day…
So, everything was arranged just in time, the band were booked and the best bit? She turned up, phew! What a day, it really was the best day of my life.
It started in the pub with the lads, a big bottle of bubbly and fat cigar…..a great start to any day I’m sure you’ll agree. Amanda looked so stunning as you can see……..

At about 11.45, we took a gentle walk through the high street to the church, suited and booted which was great fun, we had top hats and canes so a sword fight or two was inevitable..
Waiting for Amanda to arrive at the Church had to be the worst bit, I was definitely panicking, lucky me though, she turned up eventually. I still don’t think she understands yet that she definitely got the duff end of the deal! Anyway, I finally married Amanda on 15th December 2006 at 1.00pm at All Saints Church in Fleet and I am currently the happiest man alive!

After the service we headed off in a spanking new Bentley to the reception at Warbrook House, what a car! Maybe the bosses will get one for a company pool car? you never know.

Then the hour and a half of compulsory photos in the freezing cold. We were lucky really though, the weather held out for us just long enough to get married and get the photos done – what more could you ask for in December eh? Well chuffed.

I did miss out on the canapés though so I was starving by the time we sat down for the meal. Well I thought I was anyway, when it came to it I couldn’t eat most of the meal, I barely touched it in fact. I think it was the thought of doing the speech, either that or the tight fitting waistcoat…
Anyway, great meal and the speeches went down a treat, what a relief… Amanda’s dad Chris played a blinder with his, as did the two best men (I couldn’t decide) and although the photos they circulated could’ve been better, they also could’ve been much worse….phew!
After letting dinner settle it was time for Mid-life Crisis, the band for the night. They were soooo good and played loads of 60’s and 80’s music which kept everyone dancing the whole night, it was great, absolutely great and I want to do it all again! Maybe next year for the first anniversary eh? Any chance of a pay rise?!?! No? Ah well, it was worth a go…
I don’t think I’ll detail the honeymoon but suffice it to say it was easily the best holiday of my life….thanks Amanda, love ya x

Congrats to you both, it was an awesome day. Shame she turned up though eh?!, Me and the lads had some good money on that.. hehe
All the best for the future to you both, you make a fine couple. Any room for one more? Hmm that sounds a little dodgy.
