A Big Hello!
So this is it, my first toe in the water of the blogging world and so far, the water is warm and calm. I am sitting here wondering exactly why I’ve done this and what I’m going to say but I sure it’ll come to me. So, a big hello to anyone who reads this! Anyone there? hello……
I was delivered by a stork to the front door of a house in the South East of England some time ago. Luckily, after a week or so I was discovered and was cared for by a cracking family. In time, three sisters would join me and the Ashworth Family was born……
Being in my family means being into music in a big way, all of them play an instrument so it’s been only natural to carry that on. Believe it or not, I once was a sweet cherub and went St. Paul’s Cathedral Choir School in London for a number of years and sang in the choir there. We toured America in 1988 and did loads of other cool stuff but I don’t remember much of it as I was so young.
Going there gave me a love of singing that stays with me today. It inspired me to learn to play the piano and guitar and these days I spend lots of my time writing songs and playing at local gigs like The Emporium. I probably won’t ever make it big but I love it and that’s what matters.
That seems to lead me neatly on to my work life. Well, it’s been a varied one I can tell you. I won’t bore you with all the details other than to say I didn’t enjoy it until I got my first decent job in Public Relations for a company in Farnham. Since then, I’ve worked in London for a few years, started my own business, packed that in and went back to working in PR for a fantastic web site which I’ll call HW.
It’s a great site to do PR for and is teaching me lots I didn’t know about the web. It’s a consumer focussed brand that is really kicking PR and marketing into action over the next year so it’s exciting times. It’s quite a daunting task but we’re having excellent success so far getting coverage all over the place and on radio. So, look out for me next year world……..
